Ernie and the Four Persnickety Pumpkins

The Riverton Branch Library Children's Department presented The Enchanted Entertainers in, "Ernie and the Four Persnickety Pumpkins written by Christal DeVries and The Most Unusual Ghost".

In two days a total of 1,154 people came to the library to be exposed to culture as the Enchanted Entertainers took the stage and presented their plays.

Join Christal, Heather, Dawna, Kelli, Andrea, Mara, Cassie, Necia, Amanda, Alexia, Natalie, Racheal, and the other cast members in December when the ladies take the stage again to perform another original play written by Christal DeVries.

Craft Day Saturday

Craft day Saturday, hosted by the Riverton Branch Library Children's Department, was a hit as moms, dads, and kids got together to make haunted Halloween houses.

Frosting flew as busy hands assembled beautiful creations, everyone had a wonderful time.

Rylan Peranteaux has loaned us his collection of airplanes. Rylan received his first plane at age two. He is nine years old and has been a collector of airplanes for seven years.

Photo Contest 2008

Give us your best Shot

August 11th - September 30th. Enter an 8 by 10 photo taken in the last year into the Riverton Branch Library. Photos may be in color, black & white, or sepia. Deadline for submitted photos is September 12th.


Prize is a $50 gift certificate at Wind River Gallery & Framing. Judges will select a winning photo on September 15 photos will be on display until September 30.

Amateur Photograhers only and must be at least 18 to enter.

Summer Reading Program

Our Summer Reading Program started off with a bang. We have 359 children signed up to read and our first program had 150 in attendance. The weekly programs have been averaging 130 kids and parents.

For our fifth program we have Jessica Shenk better know as, "The Bug Lady". She will be talking about her business of selling bug candy. We will also be making our own edible bugs it will be a great time.

Our final program will be Wednesday July 23, 2008 so join us for an outdoor picnic. All coupons need to be in by Saturday July 26, 2008.

WYOMING READS

Yes Wyoming Reads is just around the corner. On Tuesday May 20th 540 1st grade students from all over Fremont County will converge on the Riverton Branch Library. They will be spending time reading, eating lunch, seeing a special play just for them, and receiving a free book courtesy of the "Sue Jorgansen Foundation". It is going to be an exciting day for all of us we will keep you posted. Clifford says, "See you there!"

National Poetry Month

Bravo Entertainers!

Once again the Enchanted Entertainers take the stage and delight all who attend the show. With an original script, adapted by Christal DeVries from a book by Richard Kennedy, these players show just how versatile they are by playing mainly male characters. Hogbone, played by Christal DeVries, and his gang come to capture the town of Cowlick. They are thwarted by a single character Wally, played by Cassie Black, with the help of the townspeople. All's well that ends well in this fun story. Thank you ladies for another wonderful performance.

Get Ready! Hogbone's gang is coming to town.

The Enchanted Entertainers are ready again. There third production will be on Wednesday March 12, 2008. Show times are 10:00 AM, 1:00 and 7:00 PM at the Riverton Branch Library.

They will be presenting, "The Contests at Cowlick" adapted by Christal DeVries from the book by Richard Kennedy. It's going to be a rousing good time so mark your calendars and mosey on down to the library. See you there!
