Riverton Branch Library Staff Meeting
Present: Gloria Brodle, Katy Jost, Sara Marcus, William Porter, Delina Schiefer, Sandi Hussa, Syd Lupton, and Terry Dunn
Children’s Department / Katie Jost
Wyoming Reads is scheduled for April 26th; training session will be Thursday night at 6PM on the 26th (the children will break-up into three groups.)
The children’s department will be moving their shelves around this fall, we will be moving our easy books under the lower ceiling area where the juvenile books are now located.
Board Updates / Gloria
Lander expansion project, if county commissioners don’t allow us to bring bond to the ballot we will table it for now.
FCLS, foundation is close to $500,000 goal, the interest to be used to fund projects. We will get public input on what projects they would like to see the library do.
Amoretti Property has not sold and the next step is to salvage the house out.
Budget approved for 06-07, will now be presented to the County Commissioners.
How to delegate collection development, each staff member will elect a Dewey area to develop.
Teen area coming soon! Money has been approved for the new teen area on the mezzanine.
Floating Holiday runs January to December, Gloria asked for plenty of notice on this holiday. Fill out a personal leave form & add Floating Holiday.
Lighting project / Gloria
Project scheduled to begin on April 20th, Hoffman Electric will work in small areas to try to avoid closures, and the clerestory will be the first area to be updated. There will be possible late openings, or closures. Hoffman Electric will give daily updates so that we will know what to expect on that day. As we book rooms we should advise them of possible noise and possible closures.
Shipments-don’t sign for any lighting shipments coming in. We will call Doug Maulik. His number is posted in the staff room and on the bulletin board near the back door.

Family Open Mic Night went well with all who participated and we will do it again. The Spelling Bee is April 20th.
Chris Enss, How the West was Worn, May 9th; (I will provide information on her and the program so that you can tell the public what it is about; Tickets and money will be kept in a separate envelope.)
Cheryl Wright will do a presentation on High County Gardening June 8th.
