Project scheduled to begin on April 20th, Hoffman Electric will work in small areas to try to avoid closures, and the clerestory will be the first area to be updated. There will be possible late openings, or closures. Hoffman Electric will give daily updates so that we will know what to expect on that day. Paradise Kauai Style

We are here in Kauai and we are having a great time. It is beautiful here. We are surrounded by jungle. All the trees have blossoms and they are full of many different varieties of birds. We have wild roosters that roam the hillsides. They wake us with their crowing and continue all day long. They join us in the Happy Talk Lounge for drinks and snacks. We shared Easter Mass with the locals and other visitors, an there was standing room only. The weather changes from cloudy to sunny in a matter of minutes. It rains with the sun shining and rainbows are abundant. This is a picture of Bali hai to the far right. Yes this is where they filmed the movie South Pacific.
Monday we spent the morning snorkling. We were swimming with turtles and schools of colorful fish. We ate lunch in the town of Hanalei at Tropical taco. It is a pretty popular place on the island. The owner started his business in an old green van which he used to travel around the island and sell his fish tacos. In the evening we attended a luau at the Princeville resort. There were tables of food and the entertainment was wonderful. That is all for now. Hope all is well with you all. See you soon God Bless Sandi

Open Mic Night

Open Mic Night was a first for the Library and also for some of our performers. Members of the audience were treated to stories and a remarkable rendition of our "ABC's." Thanks to all who participated. We hope to have another Open Mic Night soon.

look at us!

Thanks William and Sara for dragging our old, tired bodies into the 21st century! What a great forum for sharing ideas....and to just have fun!

I was asked to create a flyer to pass around
the neighborhood to show the neighbors the damage being done to the outdoor stage. As I opened these photos I was so sad to see the latest things painted on the walls. I know graffiti has been around for a long time, but it sure is an eye sore to look at. I wanted to share a couple of the photos with all of you.

Most customers are astonished and disappointed when we have to tell them we don't have a recipe for rabbit stew!
